Our all-metal locknuts have no plastic inserts of any kind. They're effective under even the harshest conditions: extreme temperatures, corrosive environments, and high levels of vibration. Fine threads are closely spaced to prevent loosening from vibration. These locknuts have a flange that distributes the load over a large area.
